Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for one person My daughter has a FoodSaver and I always thought that I, living alone, wouldn't need it, as I don't buy as many groceries for the freezer as she and her family of 5 do. Well, things changed for me, and I need surgery on my hand, so I ordered a FoodSaver of my own. For the past several weeks I have been cooking and freezing individual portions of ready-made meals and snacks. I now have a freezer full of good food (not TV dinners!) to eat during my recuperation. I'll be wearing a cast on my left hand for 6 weeks, so these bags will be easy to defrost, open, and then cook in the microwave. I am so glad I invested in my FoodSaver. For me, it is a Life Saver!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same I've been buying these vacuum sealer bags for almost 10 years. They have always been great quality and done wonderfully for keeping Foods fresh that I was putting in the freezer. These bags are different they're thin they don't feel as durable and three out of the four packages of chicken breast that I vacuum sealed began to slow leak right away. I could hear the air hissing out of the bag but I could not find where it was coming from. I'm not sure why these are so thin and cheap feeling, but if this is the new standard for FoodSaver my business with them is over. I tried to email the customer service over a week ago about this issue to find out if I just got a bad batch or if this is the way the sealing bags now are.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST value option The three pack is the best option for ordering bags. I ordered on a BOGO offer they sent me through email and received free shipping. I can't find any store selling these bags for less AND shipping to my house, while it doesn't cross water and therefore doesn't use a ship, was very fast and they were at my door within 5 days. 6 rolls for the price of three. I feel like food saver recently came out with an even LARGER option. The bags work great unless I'm being cheap and trying to save an extra $0.03 by making the bag too small for using. I've used these bags with hops for brewing beer, marinating, storing frozen food and anything else I can think of and they're great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Used to be well made I hate to say it, but I can not recommend this material. I just had to toss 5 bags that I made because they would not seal after vacuuming. These rolls used to be made of a heavy material that held up extremely well. The bags made from it could be washed, bleached and reused. The new material is thin, cheap and not up to expected standards. If you ever go back to the quality material let me know. I will come back. As it now stands, however, I am looking for a better material that will work in your excellent machines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my favorite size I have been using Food Saver for many many years and I can say w/o a doubt, the 11 inch rolls are my favorite. I get to choose the size bag I want and it fits everything large and small. Sometimes I cut the bag bigger then what I need so I can use it the second time w/o a problem. Really, I can not say enough good things about the 11" roll.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from save money with this product I was a little apprehensive about these products so I purchased a small sealer to start and sealed a slice of turkey breast. I took it out of the freezer the following thanksgiving and put it in the microwave and it was like I have just taken it out of the oven. So with those results I bought a larger sealer and have use it for everything all the fish I catch large blocks of cheese cut in smaller pieces seal it put it in the bottom bins in the refrigerator. Great product don't get lured in for the look alike products they do not work as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New style/material is a FAIL The older style bags were had an embossed surface on the inside AND outside of one surface of the roll. The latest batch I purchase are embossed on the inside only. I had used the old style rolls regularly for sous-vide cooking with only a couple of minor leaks (zero failures if I double seal). The new style rolls have failed EVERY TIME, even when double sealed. Worse, they are often failing in an epic way, such as the entire 11" double seal will open. Cook temps have been under 160 F., whereas the old style held up to extended 185 F. immersions. So, if you sous-vide, the new style bags will not work. I will be returning remaining supply and looking for an alternate supplier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money saving rolls I love my food saver and I love the convenience of being able to make the bags the size I need. My wish would be that you come out with a Christmas holiday print on your rolls.. I do a lot of baking over the holiday for gift giving. I often wonder how much of the goodies we all exchange get wasted because we often have so much, I would like to simply vaccum seal mini loaves of bread and cookies in pretty bags and the recipents have the choice to toss in the freezer for a later date. When you make me a mint off this idea, remember me!
