Been waiting for these
I have been waiting for something like this to be developed--bags that can be reused. Sometimes I want to vacuum seal an item that I need to open and reseal many times. With a regular bag, you have to cut the bag open, which makes the bag shorter for the next seal. With the zipper seal bags, there is no cutting or reducing of the size of the bag. It's quick and easy to reseal.
These zipper bags sealed easily for me on the first try. I have one of the large tabletop sealing units, so had to buy a hand held adapter to use with these bags. It was worth it to me! The bags sealed just as well as the non-zippered ones, just as quickly and easily. I love them!

Outstanding for mailing home baked Christmas goodi
I use the quart and gallon zipper bags. I leave my hand held plugged in when doing large volume packaging. I mailed Christmas cookies to family using the gallon bags this year. I refrigerated the white chocolate macaroons and carrot cake cookies before sealing them. They ALL arrived at their destinations unbroken and as fresh as if they had just come from the oven. I always seal the vegetables from my garden and fish I've caught...so I can enjoy them year round. I have had no problem using the zipper bags in my freezer. They stay sealed and have NEVER had loss of taste or freezer burn. Thank you for such a great product.

Great for food you access everyday
I love these bags!! The quart size and gallon size are perfect for storing things I use just about everyday. Deli meats and cheeses, fruits and veggies. I also use for short term storage in the freezer with meats, veggies and berries. I love the convience of the handheld vacume so I don't have to bring out my big food saver as often. I have had a couple of bags that I had trouble getting all the air out. Most of the time I check the zipper seal and reposition the handheld sealer and it's good. Over all the value packs when available and on sale of the quart and gallon size bags is a deal that can't be beat. I'm a huge fan of this product.

How did I live without FoodSaver bags?
I've frozen food in glass (which breaks) and in plastic containers(which kind is safe?) and plastic zipper bags (freezer burn.) But nothing beats FeedSaver bags for preventing ice crystals, spoilage and freezer burn. The zippers are a little difficult for me to securely mesh because of arthritis (me, not the bags), but it's only a minor problem. I've also discovered that when the little adhesive plastic squares fall off, I can still extract the air and cover the little holes with tape and it does a fairly good job of keeping it from refilling with air. They are relatively expensive, so I wash and reuse mine -- and now with the little trick of taping, they will perform even longer. What they cost makes up in what I've saved from not throwing away freezer dead food.

I have had the food saver for several years. Recently I purchase a food mixer and grinder/chopper. Just before I made the purchase of vacuum bags both the single and the double pouch.
These bags have help me set up my weekly meals very easily. I mark on them the day sealed and the date they need to be consumed. This way I go into the freezer and just pull what I need for the day.
For those that I use for vegetables, after usage, I wash them and reuse them. The ones for meat, I throw out as I don't like taking a chance of getting sick from the previous meats.
If you have the room in your freezer or refrigerator, then I highly suggest that you make these your next purchase.
This would be "Money" well spent with pay back.

Doesn't stay vacuum sealed without my "trick".
I give this a qualified recommendation. Here's why.
I have had these bags for a while, now. I find that after one or two seals, they lose their vacuum retention. I make repeated checks, to make sure the zipper part is properly sealed, but to no avail. What I have wound up doing is using clear packing tape, folded over on one side, to give me something to grab on to (for easy removal and replacement) and placing it over the vacuum port, after I have finished vacuum sealing the bag. This seems to prevent air from getting into the bag. This indicates to me that the fault is in the vacuum port on the bags. They need a redesign, imho. They shouldn't fail after using them a couple of times. Although I have found a way to prolong their usage, I shouldn't have to go to all that trouble, just to make them last a little longer.

Won't Live Without It!
I have had this little hand held vacuum device for quite sometime. I like it so much that I bought an extra one to keep on hand (bags too) in the event the one I do have breaks or if they suddenly decide to quit making it. This is so convenient to me, nothing on the counter either. I just come home from the local Big Box store and divide up the meat, zip it,vacuum and am all set! I even use it for bread because we go through bread slowly and I don't want it tot get moldy. I vacuum it and put it in the bread box, it's no problem to reseal if we have some left. I've NEVER have had a problem with the bags not sealing and I've used this for a few years. You need this.

Zip BAGs
These new bags are perfect for all your needs. Coming from a 20 year background with a leading home party plastic company I never in a million years thought I would use a zip style bag or anything that didn't burp for that matter, but the system and the bags are just too good to not use.
I use them at home, at camp and at our ATV club kitchen. No more leftovers going bad or containers that are too big. Fill the bag, suction it and into the freezer it goes, perfect to take to work or on the go. Easy to defrost but either counter method or water bath.
Everyone should have them!
