2 Steak Marinades You Have to Try

1. Spicy Garlic Serrano Marinade
If you yearn for a steak with a fiery bite, look no further. This recipe has just the right balance of garlic and spice to please your palate.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 3/4 cup Tabasco sauce
- 1 teaspoon crushed pepper
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons horseradish
- 1 Serrano pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 dash salt.
Whisk all of the ingredients together and pour over 2 pounds of flank steak in your FoodSaver® Quick Marinator. Vacuum seal and let sit for at least 20 minutes. Afterward, the steak can be tossed on the grill and the remaining marinade can be used for basting.
Soy Ginger Marinade
If you've never used fresh ginger in your marinade before, now's the time to try it. You won't forget this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon lime juice.
Again, whisk all the ingredients together in a bowl before adding over 1 1/2 pounds of flank steak in your FoodSaver® Quick Marinator. Vacuum seal and let sit for 20 minutes or more. For a twist on this recipe, try squeezing fresh lime juice on the steaks as they grill.
