Can't live without my Foodsaver!!
I've had the Foodsaver 4800 for several years now. I have to hide it from my son because he comes and borrows but doesn't return. lol We are a hunting and fishing family and I use the heck out of this machine. I also like to buy in bulk and make meal size portions. If we have company we just take out more bags! I also love the zip and seal bags for lunch meat, cheese and veggies. I hope they keep this model forever because I love it so much. I have to add that when we bag the fish they taste as fresh as the day they were caught. I love how you can make any size bag too! I have used my Foodsaver since they came out.

The BEST vacuum seal system❣️
FoodSaver 4800 Series 2-in-1 is the perfect device for COMPLETE food storage. It’s economically priced and worth every penny. It’s the neatest thing to use! I LOVE the simplicity and functions of my FoodSaver 4800 Series 2-in-1! I love that I can make my own bag and decide just the size I need. I love that I can use FoodSaver bags too to store and marinate. They’re so cool! I love knowing that I can use their storage bowls to store and marinate. It’s great having options. If you’re looking for a vacuum seal system I highly recommend FoodSaver 4800 Series 2-in-1. You’ll be so glad you did.

I do not use this everyday. Used it twice to date. I am used to the 'old' design of previous machine for sealing. I could judge the waste better. The auto sealing feature is ok so far but it wastes more bag than needed. As for sealing, I woud rate it a 3 with the experience I've had. It works ok but seems to still have air in the package at hard to get places. I will use it more before I would rate it differently. I have the 4800 series. It is taller than the original I had. The previous model was flatter. This design is taller. I prefer the 'less tall' machine. Seems easier to pack in a car for travel. The previous design also felt more ergonomical than this new design. Not a deal breaker but not my preference if I had a choice.

Foodsaver rocks!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a very older product that I'd used for years, this definitely is so easier to use and I absolutely love it! I have a huge garden and freeze most vegetables I grow! Foodsaver is the absolute BEST!

Damaged vacuum sealer
I bought this newer model to replace the older on that we used for years and simply wore it out. When it was delivered, it was left at an abandoned home, when we found it after a few days, the packaging was soaked, the whole thing was frozen solid, we had to tear it from the porch since it was froze and the packaging was ruined. We put it on our countertop with a towel under it to catch any drippings as it thawed out. After a few days, we sealed a couple of bags and it seemed OK, but once we actually tried using it to vacuum packages of meat, we found it took up to two minutes of running to vacuum out the air and some of the times it simply failed, the old one was much quicker in it's hey-day. We want to return this one and get a replacement since this one has obviously been damaged. How do we do that?

Great product!
This is my second foodsaver vacuum sealer. These items are absolutely great products. I’m so glad that I purchased this. It is a game changer that makes cooking, prep and storage so much easier. I use it to store just about everything. I’ve told all my friends about it and they have purchased one too. I even gifted one to someone. It’s so easy to use. It seals quick and leaves absolutely no air in the bag, so food stays fresher longer. Cudos to the inventor of this product!

This is my third FoofSaver product. This model is quieter than the previous model. We use it almost every day. We had the previous product for a few years.
